From the advent of my birth

...to the time of my death

... I dwell gladly in my Bahama land - without regret

Daily routine of songs and prayers

Abiding in love and peacefullness

Family togetherness - a way of life

Living the divine ideals without strife

Neighbourly honour and respect

The virtue of peace is always on deck

We dwell in the soulful joy

...holding positively firm - day by day

For God is good to us - I say

I am a spirited Bahamian

Dedicated to exemplary citizenship

Richly contributing to a prosperous tomorrow

For the deserving Bahamian posterity

...our precious children and heirs so dear

Tolerantly patient

...through the delays and dissapointments

Firm enchantment of the good life

...in a realm of desired peacefulness

When fair-weather soldiers cry...

...we meekly sigh

Right was momma

...not easy it is

Through it all

...love is everywhere

...so are the good,bad and ugly

Rise forgivingly above chaff and empty talk

...delightful experiences speak truthfully for themselves

Resolute heart of peace

...easy-going spirit

...tolerant against all odds

Joyfully pledged life amid endless wars

...resigned about the things beyond my control

No time for toxic diversions

...faithful tolerance staunchly withstands

Everyday soul of unshaken fondness

No life without death

No healthiness without sickness

No concord without discord

No happiness without sadness

No certainty without confusion

Restless Souls

A Poem about Restless Souls

Agitated spirits restlessly uneasy

...in and out, up and down;

...their drill in its unpredictable swing

Over and under, above and below

...their souls on the usual erratic beat go

Between and betwixt don't stop their show

...halt and move like an omnibus

Annoyingly unsettled

...they couldn't care less about what the outside world thinks

They reside contentedly within themselves

...and are driven by an unbalanced state of mind

They do not reason reasonably

...with their always ready-to-go legs

They hop uninvited in your way

...and without sound - the same old same old move along in to the path of another

Moved by unmanagable urges

...a haunted being proceeds busily about

Stillness in short bouts

...a fidgety conscience resists

Something must move;

...head, eyes, ears, tongue, hands, legs, Et al.

Loyally ready

...in a split second of a random command
