Hubert Ingraham - maximum party leader
...he's a skillful, and clumsy political reader
He says - he says what he means
...and means what he says
...but sometimes too bad are still his days
He was a contented PLP
...and now he's a happy FNM
To be simply and utterly brief
...he's a shameless provider of grief
A third term he would dream and wish
...but others want to be the big fish
So as the deal is
...a deal it should be
Hubert Ingraham will not go for three
So it was foolishly thought to be
...in 2007 - he again was set free
The PLP/FNM supreme leader's in for three
...there he achieved his final political victory
He has served - but how really well?
...only time will truly tell
...if his successors can richly gel
To take The Bahamas to brighter heights
...and to protect the people's inherent rights
The Bahamian people watched with delight
...as Hubert Ingraham took his final flight
